Research Associate/SRA – Translational Sciences

Contract Position (6 Months)

3-V Biosciences is looking for a highly motivated, experienced individual who will work closely with our team to conduct lab work supporting translational studies. The immediate need is testing and development of potential protein biomarkers (phospho-markers in particular) in human cells/tissues that can be implemented in clinical FASN studies.  It will be a dynamic project with potential clinical application.

• Requires BS or MS in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology or Biochemistry. Ideally 4 or more years industry or academic work experience (less may be acceptable depending on specific experience).
• Core skill requirements are lab techniques including cell culture and modulation studies in cell lines/primary cells, protein analysis by Western blotting, ELISA assays (optimization and analysis).
• Strong quantitative data analysis experience including proficiency with associated computational methods and software programs such as GraphPad Prism and Excel.
• Experience with method development for clinical samples, culture or primary cells, and handling of whole blood/PBMC/skin/hair samples is a bonus.  Experience in biomarker or pharmacodynamics readouts a plus.
• High attention to detail is essential.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Needs to be a collaborative team player with strong communication skills and ability to work in an interdisciplinary team-oriented environment.
